Landry Park by Bethany Hagen
The author said it best: Landry Park is ‘science fiction and romance with a historical flair.’ Yeah, she said that about the cover but that’s pretty much the same thing as the book, right? I don’t know what you mean, ‘course it is.
Extraction by Stephanie Diaz
From toxicity, starvation and fear to a utopian planet, it all sounds so exciting that I just want it now.
Salvage by Alexandra Duncan
Salvage ‘sounds like a YA Wall-E. Or maybe it’s just me.’ Nope it’s not just you, Goodreads person.
The Murder Complex by Lindsay Cummings
‘An action-packed, blood-soaked, futuristic debut thriller set in a world where the murder rate is higher than the birthrate.’ The blood-soaked-science-y me is on cloud nine just beside the hell-yeah-action me.
Falls the Shadow by Stefanie Gaither
This book has ‘mind-uploading technology.’ Umm yes, please.
The Young World by Chris Weitz
What’s better than road trip YA? Road trip sci-fi YA.
Nil by Lynne Matson
There’s an island, an adventure, survivalism, and the ‘greatest threat is time.’
Illusive by Emily Lloyd-Jones
There’s an illusionist who is also a thief and other superheroes. I love superheroes.
The Headhunters Race by Kimberly Afe
The main character has been fitted with a freakin’ ‘mechanical collar’ that is ‘timed to strangle!’
Wordless by AdriAnne Strickland
They have superpowers in this and superpowers are über cool.
Others that I just have to mention because it’s sci-fi which I cannot get enough of: Stitching Snow by R. C. Lewis, Burn Out by Kristi Helvig and The Fifty-Seven Lives of Alex Wayfare by M.G. Buehrlen.

Landry Park, Nil, Illusive, and Falls the Shadow are all on my list as well. I think 2014 really is going to be a great year for science fiction debuts(oh, so I hope!)

Now I need to add Burn Out to my list, among many others I've found looking through posts this morning! Too many awesome books this year! I can't wait for Landry Park!
Oh yes, Nil is on my list too 🙂

TTT: 2014 Debuts I'm Excited For!
Love this list! I've been looking forward to more sci-fi – I've added Nil and Illusive onto my wish list. Can't wait for them to be released!
Laundry Park sounds awesome!
Salvage slipped under my radar. Wall-E for YA? MUST READ! 😉

My goal this year is to read more books outside my usual genres. So I need to find more scifi and dystopia books to add to my TBR. This list will help immensely! I'm already ready excited for The Murder Complex & Falls the Shadow. They sound so good!
Reviews from a Bookworm says
Great list! I'm so excited for so many of these and a few made my list too. Landry Park is a new one for me, it looks so good! There seems to be so many good books coming out in 2014, I'm not sure where I'll find the time to read them all. I hope you get to all of your picks 🙂 My TTT.
The murder complex is on every list I've visited so far! 😀 I'm also very excited for this one. I hope it's a good, scary thriller.
I only have Landry Park on my TBR shelf! I'm very excited to be introduced to all these sci-fi releases I've never heard anything about! The Head-hunters Race sounds pretty gruesome (it kind of reminds of the Saw movies a bit?). And both Wordless and Illusive have superpowers and superheroes in it, so I've got to check those out, like, yesterday!

I see we share some, but some are new to me, like Wordless. Looking it up right now 🙂
I opted out for Landry Park, too much lovey dovey I think. I may still read it some other time. 🙂
