I am really not good at finishing and that’s because of my serial distress. I honestly have no idea what the average number of finishing series in a year should be. I’ve finished only two this year which sounds pathetic in general but is a big deal for me. Really is.
Thus, this list also lists series that are about damn time I finished and the ones I actually want to finish. Love lost and all that in between.
Status: 2011 – 2013
Progress: Fair, one out of three read
Books: Divergent // Insurgent // Allegiant
I loved Divergent back when I read it in 2013 but now, not so much. It’s really not a good book and my reread this year confirmed it. I actually cannot wait to be finally done with this series this year with Lillian and Joséphine.
Progress: Good, two out of three read

Progress: Good, two out of three read
This is one series that I’m not looking forward to reading because End of Days haven’t been getting good reviews at all. World After was my favorite because of the creepy factor so I don’t know if I’m ready to end it all in frustration.
Status: 2011 – 2014
Progress: Fair, one out of three read
Ah, I loved The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer and the magic of loving it was that I decided to put it away for a couple of years. It’s still put away somewhere but I kind of want to finish it in October, maybe.
Status: 2013 – 2015
Progress: Fair, one out of three read
Pawn was a good book with all the violence and plot twists that were going on so I’m very much ready to binge read Captive and Queen when Queen releases in November. (Probably too ambitious of me).
Status: 2010 – 2013
Progress: Fair, one out of three read
I remember liking Die for Me but also remember the romance being more on the clingy side so I don’t even know what to do here.
Status: 2012 – 2015
Progress: Fair, one out of three read
Scarlet was an emotional puncher of a book for me so let’s see when I get around to continuing this series.
Status: 2012 – 2015
Progress: Good, one out of two read
I only read Seraphina earlier this year and it’s a really good book with dragons in it. I don’t think I’ll be reading Shadow Scale anytime soon. Nevertheless, I’m looking forward to it when I do.
Status: 2010 – 2012
Progress: Good, two out of three read
Books: Matched // Crossed // Reached
Meh. I thought Matched was okay, Crossed was better and then I just abandoned the trilogy. I feel like I should reread them before reading Reached. Only I don’t think I can’t stomach…that.
Status: 2013 – 2015
Progress: Fair, one out of three read
Books: These Broken Stars // This Shattered World // Their Fractured Light
These Broken Stars was not at all what I was expecting it to be and I really enjoyed it. Though I’m looking forward to continuing the series, I don’t know when I will get around to actually doing that.

I've never been a fan of the Divergent series, but one day I will read Allegiant. Just so I can be done with this series forever. And also because I spent 3 dollars or so on the kindle copy. Priorities. End of Days and Lion Heart are projects for this year but reviews have not been amazing for either so my enthusiasm isn't really there. I should get on Seraphina at some point because certain trusted people (including you) seem to looove it. Sidenote, but I super love your graphics (and also your rating scale :D)

HAHAHAH. Divergent's first on the list. Would've been right up there too if I had done a TTT post.
I say, staying away from End of Days is a very smart choice. I had no love for it.
Strangely, I've not continued with The Blackcoat Rebellion either, despite liking Pawn. Maybe Queen will be motivation for me as well to finish the series.
Matched was alright. That I agree with. Even though I've got the audiobook of Crossed on my phone, I keep putting it off. I think the whole poetry jazz at the beginning makes everything sound more complicated, so I always lose the motivation within 3 minutes.

End of Days was a bit lackluster compared to the other books in the series, but it's still better than Divergent. 🙂 I need to check out the Lotus War series, and personally I enjoyed Show Scale though some had trouble with it.

Don't even bother with Allegiant, just save yourself the trouble. I found it boring and the ending was awful, though also the only interesting thing that happened in the whole book. Yeah…I wasn't a fan.

Pssst, I don't think Divergent was a good book either. Or at least I couldn't connect to the characters or take the setting seriously :/ I'm reading End of Days right now and I can already tell that it's not my favorite book in the series, which is sad because the firs(!!) and the secnd were so good. Mara Dyer's on my list too because I'm too curious to let it go even after all this time haha. Great list!

I think I'm going to skip End of Days, honestly. I don't want it to ruin the rest of the series for me. My book amnesia is bad enough that I don't remember what happened in the first two anyway.
I'm not sure I can convince myself to read Lion Heart, either. I'll probably just read Amber's review if she ever posts it.
I liked Shadow Scale but not as much as I was hoping to. I know people have mixed feelings on it, and I think it depends on what you liked most about Seraphina.
Reached: Skip it. Seriously, not worth it.

ugh i've been needing to finish end of days and i haven't been feeling it. i didn't read any reviews on it, but now that i know they're not ao great :// i heard it was originally supposed to be five books but susan ee cut it down to three so i don't know how to feel. mara dyer would be a good idea to read in october since it's creepy and halloween. xxx alexandra @ twirlingpages

Boy oh boy, I need to start like most of these books. Lol. The only series that I've read is Penryn & The End of Days, and I'm dreading it. It can't go to shit, Sana! It can't!

I would advise against reading Reached and Shadow Scale. The Crossed trilogy really was meh overall, and Shadow Scale was a great disappointment after I loved Seraphina so much.

Lol at DIVERGENT. I stopped after INSURGENT because I really did not like it and I heard the ending for ALLEGIANT sucks. (I looked up spoilers and am glad I didn't read it..) As for MARA DYER, I actually finished the trilogy this year and I have to say it's definitely not what I expected, so get ready!

I still kinda like Divergent, but the series is one hot mess after that one. I thought End of days was a pretty solid conclusion. LADY THIEF, LION HEART, YES. I love it.

Hi! Divergent and Matched are books I've considered reading. Wondering if I should invest my time 🙂 My TTT

I'm on the same page with Divergent, Die for Me, and Seraphina. I just can't get myself to continue the first two and haven't found a matching edition of Shadow Scale yet. Of Matched I've only read the first one so far and although I liked it, I kind of stopped reading, but I already own the other two (well, except for Shadow Scale, I own all the books to finish these series already). I also have the first books of Penryn and The Broken Stars on my TBR.

Even though I really liked Angelfall, for some reason I haven't had much motivation to continue the series. *shrugs* And you really should read This Shattered World – it is just as amazing as These Broken Stars – the romance, world-building and writing are absolutely spellbinding. I haven't finished the Matched trilogy either, mostly because I wasn't a huge fan of Matched in the first place, so I'm curious to see what you think if you do end up finishing it. Thanks for sharing Sana and, as always, fabulous choices. ♥

I’ve only read Stormdancer because I’ve heard about the pain that will be inflicted in the last two books… I CAN’T handle it!
Same with End of Days :/ I was so excited, but I’m really terrified that the magical creepiness won’t be there.
Lady Thief will hurt your heart even more, and Lion Heart kind of fixes it 😉
I loved This Shattered World and I can’t wait for Their Fractured Light this December! And those covers don’t hurt either lol.

I still haven't read Allegiant. I barely managed to finish Insurgent and then I was spoiled for Allegiant so I don't see the point. Even though I brought a brand new hardcover. WTH.
