Twenty-Four Today

March 29, 2014 by Sana

Ah, how times change. I was 1 year and two days old in the picture above and today, I’m 24 years old. Every year seems like a milestone, crossed over and done with. It’s always a bit of a bittersweet feeling but, mostly, I always look forward to the experiences that comes with reaching a certain age.

What never gets old is my love for books and stories. So today, I thought I’d share my random favorites from the big three (books, TV shows and movies) over the years.

Back to the present. Today, I plan to continue reading Angelfall by Susan Ee, have a low-key dinner with my family, and eat lots of cake. I love cake.

And oh, I started this thing back in 2009 where I buy a book as a present to myself and this year, I went with The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater.

Bookish, enough? I hope so.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR KAI HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU I LOOOOOOOVE YOU <3
Ohmygosh YES Enid Blyton. That woman practically raised me. I also went through a stage of collecting every single one of her books in their really old editions. My favourite was definitely The Adventures of the Wishing Chair, though. I liked her magical one, and that darned magical chair was simply fantastic. Everyone lurves The Magic Faraway Tree. So conformist. THERE WERE BROWNIES IN THE WISHING CHAIR BOOKS.
And Vicious. Victor Vale owns my heart (after you, of course). I want to post my review already *shakes fist at schedule*
    The Hunger Games. PEETA.
Ah, Seinfeld. As a kid I watched it every night, and called it Signfield. HAHA. I was a cute kid, I swear. And yesss Ian Somerhalder in Vampire Diaries. No one should be that pretty seriously.
Mean Girls will never get old ever. And please don't watch the sequel, it was horrific.
13 Going On 30 is called Suddenly 30 in Australia, but OMG THAT IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MOVIES EVER I CANNOT EVEN EXPLAIN IT. Matt is perfect, and the ending of that movie is perfect and I just ASDFGHJKL
TAKEN. LIAM NEESON. NEED I SAY MORE.
Reading + family dinner + cake sounds like a fabulous dinner to me, although my absence would make it one million times better, obviously. But you can't get everything can you, Kai? Unfortunately, no. But I am in there in spirit, clinging and fangirling as per usual and required.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU AMAZING GIRL (YOUNG MAN). <3

Happy birthday Sana!!!! I love all your movie picks, especially 13 Going On 30 (I don't even know how many times I've watched that), Mean Girls (same), and Silver Linings Playbook which I finally got to a few months ago and really enjoyed! I really need to watch Megamind though, it looks hilarious! And Gossip Girl and Harry Potter! <33

Hope you had a great day and yes, cake!
